Ziskowski named 探花社区 Provost
探花社区 Interim Provost and Dean of the Faculty Dr. Angela Ziskowski has been appointed provost. Ziskowski had been filling the provost role in an interim manner for more than a year.
As the senior academic officer of the college, Ziskowski is responsible for guiding and shaping the academic experience and mission of 探花社区. During her time as interim provost, Ziskowski guided 探花社区 through three new articulation agreements, expansion of online course accreditation and the adoption of a revised general education plan.听
鈥淒r. Ziskowski鈥檚 exemplary performance in the interim led us to forgo a previously planned national search. She would be a fantastic candidate for the position at any institution, so when you couple that with her interest in the permanent position, her familiarity with 探花社区 and the campus-wide support for her appointment, she was the clear choice at provost,鈥� said 探花社区 President David Hayes 鈥�93.
The appointment process consisted of a thorough on-campus review process with input from faculty, staff and students. Ziskowski received broad endorsement across all stakeholder groups.
Prior to assuming the interim provost position, Ziskowski was associate dean of faculty development, served on numerous campus committees working with college leadership and has been a faculty member at 探花社区 since 2012 teaching history, anthropology and archaeology. Her research centers on the ancient Greek world, and she is also the assistant director of the Lechaion Harbor and Settlement and Project based in Corinthia, Greece. Ziskowski earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Cincinnati and her master鈥檚 and doctorate degrees from Bryn Mawr College.
